Scenario Based Projects
The KOR Electronics Radar Environment Simulator (RES) systems provide scenario based projects for users to interact with the system hardware and perform radar integration, evaluation, and testing.
These goals are achieved by utilizing a layered approach to environment resources which allow the user to add environmental effects individually or to combine multiple environmental effects to create more complex returns.
The various resources are constructed in a hierarchical fashion. When creating a target, features such as JEM, Multipath, and Main Beam Clutter (MBC), Side Lobe Clutter, and Altitude Line Return may be attached to the target to achieve the desired effects.
Weather can be similarly to a target and given its own “flight” trajectory. Clutter is made up of both terrain and sea clutter and may be added to a scenario as user-defined resources.
